double-spaced 是两倍行距，别管好看不好看，按要求来，学校这么要求自有它的目的；

天还没塌下来，你的essay框架有了，离deadline的时间还充足，这几天好好思索一下怎么取舍，没问题的；

最后，潘长江说过，浓缩的都是精品，希望看到你的精品能令你满意。

我可以把essay的题目去掉吗？另外字体调成8号，用new times roman 或者 narrow arial等瘦型字， 1.5倍行距代替2倍行距？把上下左右页边距调小或不要？

10号字体已经不能再小了，另外建议你换成瘦点的字体

行距按规定来

页距是最大的活动点，但别太离谱

There's always something that you can take out from each essay. 

I don't think you should overdo it.  They'll review hundreds of essays.  It'll be pretty obvious that you cheated on the spacing.  Taking out the margin probably won't work either.  They'll need to print your essays and read them.  No one will like an essay that strains their eyes.

How strict are the length limitations for essay questions? Do applicants have a little leeway?
Successful applicants can write well-thought responses to essay questions within the stated limits.  However there is a little leeway should you go over by a few words or a sentence or two.  What is not acceptable is single spacing or using very small font, which gives an applicant unfair advantage with more space for their responses than those who do stay within the limits.

我改，可是真的心如刀割！全部essay酝酿数日，然后提笔数日，又雕琢数日。感觉去了某个部分似乎就破坏了整体的结构和思路。好难过。。。只有六天了，要重新架构 删减。。。

That's plenty of time, don't despair.  It might turn out better than you thought!  There's always a way to make the presentation work if you have good content.
