长(4段)Public funding on arts.
I choose: (E) promote the adoption of government funding to art.
4.Q4 to Q6: Frazier and Mosteller assert that medical research could be improved by a move toward larger, simpler clinical Line trials of medical treatments. Currently, (5) researchers collect far more background information on patients than is strictly required for their trials—substantially more than hospitals collect—thereby escalating costs of data collection, storage, and (10) analysis. Although limiting information collection could increase the risk that researchers will overlook facts relevant to a study, Frazier and Mosteller contend that such risk, never entirely eliminable (15) from research, would still be small in most studies. Only in research on entirely new treatments are new and unexpected vari- ables likely to arise. Frazier and Mosteller propose not (20) only that researchers limit data collec- tion on individual patients but also that researchers enroll more patients in clinical trials, thereby obtaining a more represen- tative sample of the total population with (25) the disease under study. Often research- ers restrict study participation to patients who have no ailments besides those being studied. A treatment judged successful under these ideal conditions can then (30) be evaluated under normal conditions. Broadening the range of trial participants, Frazier and Mosteller suggest, would enable researchers to evaluate a treat- ment’s efficacy for diverse patients under (35) various conditions and to evaluate its effectiveness for different patient sub- groups. For example, the value of a treatment for a progressive disease may vary according to a patient’s stage of (40) disease. Patients’ ages may also affect a treatment’s efficacy. CR 1.
2.一道GWD(原题不过顺序变了) Which of the following most logically completes the argument below?
According to promotional material published by the city of Springfield, more tourists stay in hotels in Springfield than stay in the neighboring city of Harristown. A brochure from the largest hotel in Harristown claims that more tourists stay in that hotel than stay in the Royal Arms Hotel in Springfield. If both of these sources are accurate, however, the county’s “Report on Tourism” must be in error in indicating that _______.
- more tourists stay in hotel accommodations in Harristown than stay in the Royal Arms Hotel
- the Royal Arms Hotel is the only hotel in Springfield
- there are several hotels in Harristown that are larger than the Royal Arms Hotel
- some of the tourists who have stayed in hotels in Harristown have also stayed in the Royal Arms Hotel
- some hotels in Harristown have fewer tourist guests each year than the Royal Arms Hotel has
3.一种Mosquito得了什么病毒,被这种mosquito咬了人就会得一种FERVER(不是GWD的那道小孩用mosquito nets的那道)。
DS 有3个数,分别是20 、30 、X 问 is the mean greater than the range(注意是RANGE) 1) x<10 (确定) 2) x>20(记得不是很清楚)
