I agree too, MBA is helpful only if you are planning to keep climbing the corporate ladder, shooting for upper management position. for most of the tech jobs, I don't think MBA's relevant, correct me if i'm wrong. I think tech job is more task focus. a lots of the end user, they don't really care about the programing behind each system. when they have an issue, they just want the IT guy to fix it. iech guys are good problem solver.
IMO, People skill and networking are more important in business world and MBA is all about networking. I have been working in the financial industry for 3 years, I know for sure that I will get promoted faster if i have a MBA,. In my company, usually it took 5-6 year to earn your VPship. But there's a girl in my department she got her VP in 3 years because of her MBA, aside from the fact that she also pretty with good social skill.
