很多学校要求有 Financial Support Form，其中personal/family source要求附带银行存款证明的。

存款要办3个月的还是6个月的呢？一般存多少钱合适呢？

PhD一般都是100％ fuding的
personal fund都填0就可以了

那样会不会减少被录取的几率啊？

下面的是那个学校的要求：

Financial Information Worksheet.

 All applicants who are not citizens or permanent residents of the United States must complete the Financial Information Worksheet for International Students. (Pg. 7). The worksheet must be accompanied by a current bank statement from the sponsor’s financial institution.

没有bank statement是不是他们就不考虑我了呢？

一般不会。提供Financial information很多时候是对国际学生的一贯政策方便以后给你发I20时候用的。这个时候根本不区分你是去读phd还是mba之类的，所以才会有提供bank statement的说法（给那些需要交学费的）。对phd，不会考虑你的钱多少的。
很少有见商学院发不给钱的admission的

那可不可以先不交资产证明呢？因为我现在回家里去办银行证明不是很方便：（

我也是还没有办出来存款证明，而deadline很近了，要不要先寄出去其他材料，在coverletter里面说明bank statement will be sent to you upon your request。这样可以吗？

if u a good enough, don't worry, they will give you full financial support if admitted.

if not, they might give you some financial support to complement what you have already if they still want you, in this case, financial statement is of importance.
