听说Carlson 去年给了所有录取的中国学生全奖?请问Carlson的全奖包括生活费吗?还是只是学费?好像今年的brochure 上面只写了最多是full tuition,但是第二年有GA,请问一般GA能有多少?在签证的时候提供财力证明是不是要把两年的生活费都考虑进去?

Carlson的网站上写的是如果要被consider dean's scholarship, 鼓励在12月15日的deadline提交,

"The Carlson School and the University of Minnesota award a number of academic merit-based fellowships and scholarships. The Full-Time MBA program automatically reviews all applications for the Dean's and Associate's Fellow Scholarships. While no special application is required for these scholarships, we urge students to submit their program admissions application by the December 15 deadline. "

但是我在MBA tour上问admission officer Heather, 她说那个deadline只录取25%的学生,只要在2月15日前申请,机会还是很大,请问是否如此?

Heather当时跟我介绍了说Carlson好像有专门争对healthcare的MBA, Carlson的MBA有要求concentration吗?

Scholarship with tution and stipend is crucial to me. Here is my background, GMAT 760/5.5, TOEFL iBT 110(Reading 27, Speaking 26, Writing 30, Listening 27). I am an engineer with three years work experience(including one year internship) in a Top healthcare company with the Fortune 500. GPA is about 85 out of 100, my college does not convert the transcript to GPA.

I would be happy to stay in healthcare industy but I don't want to be restricted to healthcare. I am afraid it will happen if I choose the specified healthcare MBA.

But saying to be the business leader in Chinese healthdcare industry sounds easier to me. And I will be more confident and have more to say in the interview if I am asked about my goal. You know, at least something you are confident to talk about. If my goal is something I don't really know much, I will fail to convince the admission officer why it is my goal, 'cause I can't explore too much.

What do you think if I just choose the normal MBA and state interest in healthcare? Will the admission committe recommends me to consider the "health care MBA"? Heather already mentioned that to me at the MBA Tour.

小问一下，本人条件一般，GMAT 710，没有TOEFL成绩，只有雅思的，而且只有7.0 ，GPA 是89/100，但是没有Full-Time 的工作经验，楼主觉得我申请的话有希望吗？谢谢！

去年的中国学生，有两个拿到了dean's scholarship, 两年学费全免，另加每年5000刀生活费。

其他六人拿到学费全免。 签证的时候只要准备剩下的部分就可以了，包括生活费和各种各样的student fee.

的确，2月份的deadline完全没有问题.

我core team的一个老外女孩子就是concentrate on healthcare. 明州的healthcare方面很强，有很多公司，二年级的一位中国师姐现在已经拿到Medtronic的fulltime offer.而且还有许多针对healthcare 算credit的course

Carlson的concentration是第一年就要求还是第二年才要求的?concentration on healthcare的课程学习跟其他concentration差别大吗?但是感觉healthcare是一个领域,好像如果concentration on healthcare就没有办法再选其他了. 不错，GMAT要700以上吧。Additional essay对拿dean’s scholarship有帮助，反正我没写。

 

一年准备好5000刀应付各种各样的学杂费和保险，还要买laptop,学校要求的。生活费一年有个1，5000刀就够了。1，8000刀会过得比较帅一些。

 

GA好像一般都是对没有full tuition waived的人减免一些学费。

 

当然可以选两个concentration, core semester之后就可以选你所要focus的课程。

Summer internship 一般多长时间?我看到有些地方好像说summer internship也可以赚个1W美金的,可以赚一些第二年的生活费.(忘了是Carlson还是 Maryland的).

Carlson给international students好像没有什么loans? 国际学生的生活费是不是都要自己从中国解决?那么如果有full tuition waiver了,第二年不可以申请GA吗?

我想请问,如果我选择了healthcare concentration,在课程学习上面是不是被限制在healthcare,那么毕业以后会不会不可以做其他的了?
