720(Q50, V38) AWA: Aa:92. _The following is taken from an editorial in a local newspaper. “Over the past decade, the price per pound of citrus fruit has increased substantially. Eleven years ago, Megamart charged 5 cents apiece for lemons, but today it commonly charges over 30 cents apiece. In only one of these last eleven years was the weather unfavorable for growing citrus crops. Evidently, then, citrus growers have been responsible for the excessive increase in the price of citrus fruit, and strict pricing regulations are needed to prevent them from continuing to inflate prices.” Ai 36、“Businesses and other organizations have overemphasized the importance of working as a team. Clearly, in any human group, it is the strong individual, the person with the most commitment and energy, who gets things done.” Sc: 1. GWD-18-Q1The Arthritis Research Institute of America advises women of color that they have twice the likelihood to get osteoarthritis of the knee as do White women. - that they have twice the likelihood to get osteoarthritis of the knee as do White women
- that they are twice as likely as White women to get osteoarthritis of the knee
- that their likelihood of getting osteoarthritis of the knee is twice as much as White women
- of being twice as likely as White women to get osteoarthritis of the knee
- of having twice the likelihood of getting osteoarthritis of the knee as White women
Answer: B GWD21-Q39: Almost like clones in their similarity to one another, the cheetah species’ homogeneity makes them especially vulnerable to disease. - the cheetah species’ homogeneity makes them especially vulnerable to disease
- the cheetah species is especially vulnerable to disease because of its homogeneity
- the homogeneity of the cheetah species makes it especially vulnerable to disease
- homogeneity makes members of the cheetah species especially vulnerable to disease
- members of the cheetah species are especially vulnerable to disease because of their homogeneity
混淆选项有fuel up 和feed up with fire, 个人觉得就应该用fuel——简洁且意思明确。

JJ: 1.GWD-29-Q37 Rabbits were introduced to Numa Island in the nineteenth century. Overgrazing by the enormous population of rabbits now menaces the island’s agriculture. The government proposes to reduce the population by using a virus that has caused devastating epidemics in rabbit populations elsewhere. There is, however, a chance that the virus will infect the bilby, an endangered native marsupial. The government’s plan, therefore, may serve the interests of agriculture but will clearly increase the threat to native wildlife. Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the argument? A. There is less chance that the virus will infect domestic animals on Numa than that it will infect bilbies. B. There are no species of animals on the island that prey on the rabbits. C. Overgrazing by rabbits endangers many of the plants on which bilbies feed. D. The virus that the government proposes to use has been successfully used elsewhere to control populations of rabbits. E. There is no alternative means of reducing the rabbit population that would involve no threat to the bilby. Ans: C 2. In countries where automobile insurance includes compensation for whiplash injuries sustained in automobile accidents, reports of having suffered such injuries are twice as frequent as they are in countries where whiplash is not covered. Some commentators have argued, correctly, that since there is presently no objective test for whiplash, spurious reports of whiplash injuries cannot be readily identified. These commentators are, however, wrong to draw the further conclusion that in the countries with the higher rates of reported whiplash injuries, half of the reported cases are spurious: clearly, in countries where automobile insurance does not include compensation for whiplash, people often have little incentive to report whiplash injuries that they actually have suffered.
Lastly, I will say thanks to my GMAT tutor or doctor---Ford, and attribute half of my result to your direction.
