regarding the college, i am seeking for campus accommendation with internet access at my bedroom, but seems this facility is not common. any recommendation?

Judge申请到6月5号才截至，那么现在申请好么？会不会因为学校招的人差不多了，现在申请会难度很大？

why not common? everyone can access internet on the bedroom. For sure there are possilbly some extreme cases but I haven't heard so far.

转眼之间global consulting project就做完了，昨天在cisco做的presentation做的很成功，估计会有几个internship吧。而新的学期也已经开始了，一环接着一环连喘息的时间都没有。前面的一些帖子因为太忙回答的特别仓促，这几天会重新详细回答其中部分，也会和大家分享大半年的真实感受。如果大家有甚么问题，请尽管提问。

请问流沙：英国好的bl是不是如果没有5，6年的工作经验都不可能申请到啊？我是个大三学生，专业是会计，本来想到英国读会计的，但是看了几个好的bl好象都没有accounting&finance这样的programme，差不多的就只有mba了，但是又都要求工作经验。上个寒假我曾经去多伦多的Deloitte实习了三个月，但是这和要求相差实在是太远了，请问一下像我这种情况想申请mba是不是几乎不可能啊？Thanks a lot...

我们班上所有的人都有工作经验，只是有长有短而已。我个人的看法是，最好有至少三年以上的工作经验再读mba，这样才能理论与实际结合。至于可不可能，你最好发email问问mba office的人，我也不确定。

I am happy to announce that Lawrence S. Abeln, will join us at Judge
                Business
                School at the University of Cambridge as the new Executive Director of Executive Education.  In that capacity he will also lead JBS Executive Education Limited.  Larry holds a PhD in Management from JBS and MPhil in International Relations from Cambridge, where he studied as a Rotary Foundation Scholar.  He received his B.A. from The University of Pennsylvania, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1989.

 

Over the last twelve years, Larry Abeln has held significant leadership positions in academia including the Director of the MBA Program at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Sloan School of Management, Associate Dean at Georgetown University School of Business in Washington D.C. and most recently, as the Associate Dean and Director of Executive Education at The University of Texas at Austin.  In this role, he oversaw over a portfolio of custom and open enrolment programs and five MBA degree programs enrolling 800 students.  He has worked closely with many global clients in developing specialised management education curriculum and delivering executive education programmes.

 

He previously served on the Board of Directors of the MIT Enterprise Forum.  Larry Abeln has been a media commentator on CBS and NBC television affiliates, ABC radio, and has been quoted in The New York Times, Financial Times, The Wall Street Journal, Business Week, and other publications.

 

With Larry Abeln joining us, Tim Bellis, who has been the Interim Director of Executive Education, will go part-time and devote his time at Judge Business School to the development of executive education activities in the area of professional services.  Tim has done an excellent job over the last 16 months and has considerably strengthened the executive education activities at Judge

                    School.  Among other things, he has expanded our offerings in bespoke programmes for professional services firms and has helped laid the foundations for future growth in Executive Education at Judge

上周gcp全部都结束了，回想起来，还是蛮有感触的。首先是，选择一个好的gcp真的很重要。很多project结束之后，公司会看presentation的情况给internship或者full time job。我现在所知的就有6、7个，还有些正在协商中。譬如，microsoft去印度的一个交流项目，最后就给了microsoft gcp的两个人，虽然两者理论上来讲应该是分开的。

其次，一个好的team特别重要。这个大家讨论起来都承认，但是实施起来还是有些难度。怎么协调team内部的争论，或者说怎么样在追求teamwork的同时又让自己能够outstanding，是需要一些策略的。就这点而言，老外们比起亚洲的同学来说，还是强了些。大概还是语言技巧的问题。

最后，虽然就我所知，大部分的teams，最后的presentation都让公司特别满意，但是就大部分学生而言，GCP的过程相当于对公司幻觉的破灭过程：）。其实也不难理解，有多少公司是完美的呢？没有问题的话，要我们这些MBA干什么？

这次GCP中，最让人羡慕的是Pfizer team。不仅去New York呆了两三周，最后走之前还每人送了个ipod！！！

谢谢流沙：）还有个问题想要麻烦你~~就是我本来最开始没有想读mba的（因为大概知道mba都是工作了几年之后才去读的~~），我本科学的是会计专业，就想出国读个accounting&finance的硕士再回来工作的，但是后来发现似乎好的商学院都没有这样的programme,几乎都是mba~~请问流沙你知道哪个好一点的商学院的硕士有A&F这样的programme吗？十分感谢：）
