I got the interview invitation today.

My background:

Reapplicant/ Submited on 6th Oct / Status changed on 20th Oct/ Interview notice 16th Nov

As a reapplicant, I feel the application progress is really a learning progress. I am really happy to see my growth in the past year and definitely I am stronger.

Good luck to all

Thanks very much! I have send an email to adcom for some feedbacks as I am planning to reapply next spring for the J-term program if I failed in other applications. It 's really difficult for me to make this decision, as I am not as young as most of the applicants.

Good luck for everyone!

Once you make up your mind, just go ahead...

There were quite some Chinese reapplicants admitted last year. And age is not too big a deal, so long as you can answer the "why MBA" and "why Columbia" questions well.

Good luck!

Sorry to hear that... Good luck with your other application! And... if you are still interested, please don't forget to ask the adcom for feedback. Sometimes they reply to such requests.

I get an email for the adcom with a standard reply. Well, I  am wondering if this is a signal that they have no interest on me.  I am struggling with the decision whether I should reapply or currently I  just apply some second-tier schools to make sure I could get into.

Thanks for you, 御风行!If possible, could you please do me a favor to ask Michelle A. McLeod, who replied me, or someone you know with my question? I fully understand the adcom are really busy and they don't have much time giving feedbacks, but I am eager to know the weakness of my application.

Thanks and best regards,

Tim

Finished my Columbia  interview yesterday afternoon with a very nice alumni. It was a very enjoyable process, as we had a really pleasant talk. I was pretty relaxed, and even joked a little bit. Guess I am being myself. Only that I was a little bit too relaxed to mention some strong points I have. Anyway, I have done my part, and wish my experience would be helpful for other CDers.

He asked quite a few standard questions, some of them I didn't prepare for.

1. Why MBA?

2. If not MBA what else would you do to achieve your goal?

3. Why now?

4. What other schools?

5. Team work.

6. Leadership.

7. What is the most challenging thing you have faced in work?

8. If you were to start a business now, what kind of business would you do? (I never mentioned that I want to be an entrepreneur, wondering why he asked me this question)

9. If you didn't get in this year, what would you do, will you apply next year?

10. Since you have two years working experience, why would columiba choose you over the other applicants who have 5+ years working experience?

We also talked about my current job, and he asked some specific quesitons about my work.

He shared with me his experience with CBS, and really sold the school with passion!

All the CBS Alums I met in BJ are nice and proud of their schools. I do like the CBS people!

Good luck to Cders who will do their interview soon!
