是啊,我也感觉奇怪.

有人说是C,但是你看看C说的是古时候没有对Euripides’ Electra的评论.原文只是说L对18个戏剧中的10个做了评论,可没保证没有其他人不对另外的8个不做评论吧.

有人说是E,但是E说的是在现存的中世纪的手稿中,Euripides’ Electra都没有被评论.原文只是说手稿L不评论,并不表明其他现存的中世纪手稿里面没有评论吧(或许有或许没有)

原因：

这个句子表达了一面，如果从不充分表达方面理解，the rest eight should also appear in other medieval manuscripts without commentaries

个人感觉这题没有一个答案是完美的，如果硬要选一个，也只好选E了。
基本支持freshfruit mm的说法，原文中的

说了半句，剩下的意思可能是另外的8件作品没有在其他中世纪的手稿中出现过。

但是感觉这道题目太不严谨了，完全没资格作为考题拿出来，简直是在丢人现眼，暴露鬼子们的白痴

不同意,我觉得这是对着答案E的附会.

1,也有可能是在说,the rest eight never appeared in the other medieval manuscripts (no matter weather accompanied by commentaries).也就是说这8个剧本只是在L手抄本里出现过,其它记载都没有.

2,另外有个可能:  提到10个有评论,并出现在其它手抄本里,不能说明另外8个就没有评论了.只是不说而已.比如说,XXX 生了10个孩子,10个都是罪犯,但是XXX说"我有九个孩子都是罪犯",这样完全是没有问题的.

我觉得可能题目少了一些限定词:

plays,” are accompanied in L by ancient commentaries and also

appear in other medieval manuscripts;

大家看主语和谓语之间没有插入成分,却多了一个逗号,是语法错误吧?我怀疑少了一些限定的插入成分,比如:

Of these, ten called the “select

plays,”  BUT RATHER THE OTHER EIGHT, are ONLY accompanied in L by ancient commentaries and also

appear in other medieval manuscripts;

也许补的东西不对,但是大致就是想表达这么个意思.欢迎来拍

修改一下,刚才看到别的帖子,有个mm的解释我觉得很合理.

其实E想说: Euripides的Electra这个剧本,并不每次都是伴随这评论出现在当今现存的手稿里的( 起码在L这部手稿里,就没带评论).



比如: 当今有100本含有ELectra剧本的手稿存在着,可以保证起码至少有一本手稿,是没有EL剧的评论的(就是L这个手稿)
