E中"low rates of acceptance",是一个绝对概念,就是说,他的意思不是本组的国内和国外电影比,而是说本来应该高一些的.

而B的错误在于根本和题目没关系.

我多提交怎么了,少点又何妨?

而E描述其实就是个废话概念.哈哈,因为不需要他说,其实(上表)就已经能形成fact1和fact2同时成立.

也就是说,E也就是评论者的角度说说话而已.

好比,同样5部优秀电影在欧洲多国都通过了(通过率100%),但是在中国,才通过4部80%,正好国内情况也是提交

100通过80部,通过率也是80%. "with correspondingly low rates of acceptance"就是说其实应该高一些的,和欧洲比,国内通过率低了.

希望我的解释正确,也希望能看懂我描述的.........

例子很清楚，但是解釋不太懂。可以麻煩再指導下一嗎?  謝謝...

Fact 2:  The overall rate of acceptance of domestic films was significantly higher than that of foreign films.

fact 1说专家评审组对国内和国外的电影的接受率相同

fact 2说总体(我的理解是：当地群众+专家)对国内电影的接受率〉〉国外电影

Why?

E. Most foreign films, unlike most domestic films, were submitted in categories with high prestige, but with correspondingly low rates of acceptance.

国外电影有威望受到专家的亲睐，而大众的taste不能适应国外电影的style，使得most foreign film得到的评价很高却不卖座。

意思我看懂了，但是我不同意，这个说法，，其实在你举例子的时候，已经假设Ｂ是正确的了。你的例子里，国产片子的数量远大于国外片；所以得出了结论。你假设了例子之后，，又说题目本身就是对的，，不需要Ｂ。。。

我觉得是这样的。就像我楼上的所说的。

ＦＡＣＴ１是说，在每个分类中，国产片的接受率和国外片的是一样的。即那些讨论组的专家并没有歧视国外片，偏袒国内片。

ＦＡＣＴ２是说，然而，总得接受率，，国产片却高了许多。。。

它叫你解释。。这是为什么呢。。。

Anyway, here is my thought:

Majority of foreign films is in the categories which have high prestige but low rate of acceptance (but same low rate for both domestic and foreign films). For example:

 

 

Category #        Foreign film                   domestic film                 acceptance rate

1                      10/100                          1/10                              1/10

2                      2/4                                30/60                            ½

 

 

So total acceptance rate for foreign film is 12/104 (close to 1/10), but total acceptance rate for domestic film are 31/70 (close to 1/2) so it is cool with both facts.

 

So it is E

In light of the background information, which of the following, if true, can account for fact 1 and fact 2 both being true of the submissions to this year’s Barbizon Film Festival?

 

1. In each category, the selection panel was composed of filmmakers, and some selection panels included no foreign filmmakers.
2. Significantly more domestic films than foreign films were submitted to the festival.
3. In each of the past three years, the overall acceptance rate was higher for foreign than for domestic films, an outcome that had upset some domestic filmmakers.
4. The number of films to be selected in each category was predetermined, but in no category was it required that the acceptance rate of foreign films should equal that of domestic films.
5. Most foreign films, unlike most domestic films, were submitted in categories with high prestige, but with correspondingly low rates of acceptance.

在时间很短的情况下做这种题目我觉得举极端情况的例子最好．题目里说有十个不同的组别，在Ｅ　选项里，我们就举两个好了，对国内国内的电影来说．第一组的通过率都为８０％，第二组要求高点，通过率只有２０％，如果国内电影全部跑到第一组去了，国外的全部去第二组了，那么很显然最后的结果是国内电影的通过率要远远高于国外电影的通过率，虽然在每一组当中各自的通过率都是一样的．

再看Ｂ，即使国内电影数量大大超过国外电影，如果国内的全部去第二组，国外的去第一组，那么结果就与题目的条件２相反了．所以Ｅ　是关键
