Shelley（在职）GMAT 备考计划：

 

考试时间： 2006 年8 月16日
        上海

 

自身基础： 7年前毕业，英语4级，
        现工作中一直使用英语（书写，口语）

 

目标分数：700+ 50/35/5

 

备考时间：
            

 

8/15考试，工作较忙，每周出差1到2次

 

每周保证 35小时（周一至周五：4*5=20小时，周末：8小时*2=16小时）

 

考试前一周请假模拟，冲刺

答案是E，但E的ocean用的是单数。

A,C应该是effort to subject

D的an effort for 15 years不够简洁，想听听大家对此题的分析。

我认为杨鹏难句不能用GMAT的语法去抠，难句的目的是针对阅读的，特别是那些阅读有理解句子障碍的。

which all这种形式在SC里面是错误形式，大家参考OG157B的解释。

The phrase of which all in B is unidiomatic (all of which is the idiom).

答案是E，但E的ocean用的是单数。

A,C应该是effort to subject

D的an effort for 15 years不够简洁，想听听大家对此题的分析。

A中that is错。one of N that结构中，后面的谓语动词用复数。the only/last one of N that，后面的谓语动词用单数，因为是强调唯一性，重心变了。
B中which is 这种结构要熟习，ETS常用的错误项，可根据主谓一致来排除。
C中除了你说的effort用法不对外，还有后面这个貌似独立主格（名词＋介词结构 把of subjecting姑且看成介词结构）的东西其逻辑主语应该是AM-1，这样就产生逻辑意思不对。
D中effort that的结构不对，起码我在大全里面搜索不到。只有effort to

来说说E中的ocean为什么用单数：在地球上，大气和海洋都是连成一片的，所以在这里是单数。而陆地因为被海洋分割成不同的大陆（尽管有些大陆是相连的），这里用复数。这点纯属猜测，不知道是不是作者的原意。

你看得好仔细啊。

我怀疑E的ocean用单数是笔误，ocean毕竟是可数名词，而且内海也可算做ocean。

这个知识点很重要：one of N that结构中，后面的谓语动词用复数。the only/last one of N that，后面的谓语动词用单数，因为是强调唯一性，重心变了。我一定得好好记住了。
