在印度的扩招都是operation部门的,投行最差的部门,这样的扩招我觉得也没什么可羡慕的.

不过文章写的很好,逻辑很清楚.

India is mainly a operation and IT center for IB...they are all back office...

God...U r a MBA. How can you admire those opennings in india?

Yes, they are in Morgan Stanly ...but so what?? They r in there just because they can do programming...

Operation is not that bad...A lot of ppl use operation as an entry level...then they jump to front office, such as IBD or trading..

just some info as I know:

2 traders in SGCIB started from trade support..

3 traders in Barclays Captial started from operation..

A lot of IBD guys are from big 4 ..even IT audit

Operation is not so well paid, but ppl can enjoy a much relax working environment.

Even MR. Brady Dougan the CEO of Credit Suisse Investment Banking, was also from control side in a commericail bank when he was doing his MBA in Chicago..

Robert Rubin enter GS at his 28...but he ends as the Treasury Sectary of the States
