2:facilities---Stern: great building and superb facilities vs CBS: rat-laden campus and cracking building

3: curriculum: Stern: more flexible >CBS

5: reputation/influence: CBS>Stern

Rumor says: "Stern has more friendly alumni than Columbia does."

However, I will choose columbia over stern 24/7.

I came back from Columbia campus last week. To be honest, I was a little bit dissapointed by its size; the main campus is no larger than two soccer fields.

While I love those historically rich buildings such as Mathematics dept, the b-school one is an obvious post-industrial foster child. From distance, I can observe in side the building white plastic office ceilings and alloy framed windows, as bright and as plain as the JFK airport lobby. Their similarity is more evident when a guard at the entrance stopped me for not possessing a student id.

However, I know I am biased. I romantized this ivy league as formidable as Yale, Harvard, Cornell, or Princeton. Neither am I able to walk in any classrom and audit a class. I'll do next time, by all means.

of course Columbia.  The Ivy league name alone leaves Stern in dust.

Plus, Leonard N. Stern is not a prestigious name to be associated with anyway.  He has more class action suits than you want.  It's funny to see some people there called themselves "Sternie".

My friends told me: NYU admits a bunch of Columbia losers.

NYU bear an advantage in location compared with other B-schools. But when compared with Columbia, how clear it is! Columbia is the answer!
