All of these show what? Every multinational faces a number of suits, Microsoft, Google, Boeing...., even World Bank .  So what?  If any of those "scandals" had showed Mr.Stern himself were guilty, he would have not be in his office on the 26th floor of 667 Madison Ave now.  Freespeech is not always the true!

You can never deny that Mr. Stern's a great business man, making significant contributed to NYU. What's wrong with the university names its business school after a great enterprenure, just like many other shcools?

回复:(Sachem)Well, I don't want to bash NYU but...

I think Mr. Sachem totally lost the focus by debating the name of the school rather than what the school can bring to students.

Good luck!

I think the discussion of Mr. Stern is away from the original topic and the real meaning of our discussion. Please just stop it. If you want to help LZ, just show your analysis, experience and thinking. If not, maybe you could open another topic about the naming of b-schools in different universities.

Well, my original post simply suggests LZ that Columbia is a much better name to be associated with than Stern.  (I guess LZ might want to know that.)  Obviously, some people are not fully aware of the images of the names or aren't bothered at all.  That's fine.  But I am and maybe someone else cares as well.

For those who think Mr. Stern and his sons are among "greatest" businessmen and could be your role models (and other "Sternies"), I have no comment.  It's your personal judgement.  I don't think so (well, who cares anyway).

Sachem, dinged by NYU without interview

Sachem, 你不会是 dinged by NYU without interview的罢,呵呵。 我在businessweek forum 看到过类似的帖子 - 后来证实如此。

Anyway, I have seen quite some Stern students post their thoughts, very warm and helpful thanks!  但为什么Columbia 的students 或 alumni 没有什么声音呢?难道是太忙了,还是不关心啊。。。就好像我访问哥大时对哥大校友印象一样啊。

Yup, he is just another Yale SoM guy, accompanied with the other SoM guy on this post bashing on NYU b-school's name. They two are among bunches of Yale SMers acting as pathetic turned-downs by CBS and Stern every year in Greater NYC area.  And yes, it's so funny that they are called "Yale SMers" instead of "Yalies" because Yalies have never allowed people from this lowest ranked school in Yale be honored as "Yalies", ever.
