1- IC是M最喜欢且收到最多称赞的小说。这本书从年轻女性愤怒的角度，通过被迫生活在封闭内院的女性的生活，揭示了性和阶级的政治性。A是战乱时期一个贫困家庭的故事。在女性生活的基础上，内院通过不同家庭成员的政治联系揭示真实的政治活动。小说没有支持某一个政治派别，它不是政治小说。作者没有从男性角度出发，而是从女性角度出发，男性在政治方面的决定根本地改变了女性的生活。这本小说围绕很多女性角色，讲述她们是怎么在这种情况下维持自己的生存空间。
