[Main Idea] Two theories about why ancient climate change in cycles. The old one believes that the reason is Earth's orbital cycles, while the new one thinks it's more compex. And they may be both right but just based on different data.
[Structure]
P1: One old theory A and it's evidence (C's study)
P2: The new theory B and it's provement
P3: C suggests their data are different
[Each Paragraph]
P1: MM's theory, that ice ages occurred in cycles because Earth orbits the Sun, was proved by JI's study, and was accepted by most climatologists.
P2: IW's new study shows that ancient climate changes not because of the orbital cycles, but of more complex interactions among oceans, ice sheets, and atmosphere.
P3: JI suggests that none of the their data is wrong, but is just different due to geographical variations in climate and differences between marine and freshwater studies.
