1.22凌晨1点-2点熬夜参加了耶鲁今年新设项目的Online Chat，类似于QQ聊天室，在里面自由发问，好像有2个AO在里面回答。整理了一下放出来攒个rp~（另外我来求个群，video essay还没录但是面筋好少好少...希望找到组织的可以拉一下我哈哈哈哈）
先放一下自己总结的笔记，当课代表来划重点啦！
- ddl只有一个，只会在官网公布的4月21号统一发布结果！但发面试是rolling的！（之前看到过有说已经收到拒录的应该不可信~）
- 是不是STEM还不确定，会在入学之前确定
- class size预计20-30，但AO说如果最终来了60人也不以外（所以彩票还是要买的~）
- 不是CFA导向
- 没有TOEFL和GRE最低限制，如果GMAT和GRE都有成绩建议一并提交（GMAT重视Quant分数）
- interview不会涉及技术面，只是初步了解candidate，是否发起面试是optional
下面是问答的原话，总共有四五十条吧，我只记录了个人最关心的13条：
1. Could I knowwhether the admission is rolling basis? Or the reviewing will only begin afterthe deadline? No, admission is not on a rolling basis. Thereis one application deadline and one decision release date. However, interviewinvitations will be sent on a rolling basis between the application deadlineand the decision release date. 2. Dear sir, Alongwith MMS Asset Management, I was thinking of applying in the Silver ScholarsProgram as well, will applying in two distinct courses make me look unfocusedand negatively affect my application? you are absolutely welcome to apply to bothprograms; we have a joint-degree and we welcome applications from candidatesthat are interested in both. I wish to alleviate your concerns - it will not beviewed negatively at all! Please let me know if you have specific questionsabout the Silver Scholars Program as I oversee that program. 3. Will there beany programming language used in the asset management program? And whichprogramming language is the dominant one? are you asking if these are required for theprogram? The answer would be "no" - it is nice if you have experiencewith programming languages but it is certainly not required for applying to theprogram. 4. Hello! I wantedto know about the program's STEM certification status. Thanks. The STEM certification is currently underwayand we are hopeful that it can be secured before the first cohort arrives oncampus. We will certainly make an announcement as soon as we have it! 5. Dear sir, Ithink during last couple of webinars the introduction of the program wasfocused more on the curriculum and how would the program equip students withquantitative skills. However, I would like to know what kind of soft skills,leadership experience, or networking skills that I would be able to gain fromthe program. Would you ming explain a bit about this? Thank you! you will have a weekly leadership seminarwith leaders in the Asset Management field, drawn from Yale's Investment Officeand the greater NYC asset management community. You will also have networkingopportunities with professionals during the program, organized in coordinationwith the Career Development Office. There is also time to take electives, so ifleadership, public speaking, or communication skills are what you want to focuson, you will be able to build those into your experience at that time. 6. What's theexpected class size? The decision release date is April 21. I wouldexpect the inaugural class to have approximately 20-30 students, but I wouldn’tbe surprised if we land somewhere around 60. 7. Do you have anytips on how we can best prepare for the video question? A great way to prepare for the video questionis to simply be comfortable with the platform. There is a practice tool you canuse, and you can practice as much as you want before you go live. Getcomfortable speaking to your computer camera, a 90 second time frame (you don'thave to use all the time, but you don't want to go over), and make sure youcomplete the exercise is a quiet, private space with good internet. 8. Hi, will theinterview include quantitative questions or just behavior questions? thx~ The interview is just a chance for us to get toknow you better and better understand your background and experiences. So,there will be no quant questions, technical or subject-specific inquires. Itwill be just questions based on your resume and your academic and professionalexperiences. 9. Will there beany support or resources for CFA? Or will CFA Holder adds value to the team? you're welcome to share any CFA certificationsin your application if you have them. We do not provide support for studyingfor the CFA exams at Yale SOM. 10. Dear admissioncommittees, do you have any tips on writing the essays or things that you expectto see in the essays? My best advice with the essays is fairlysimple. Answer the prompt, be authentic in your response, and be sure to checkyour grammar. 11. When looking atGMAT scores, do you care more about the composite score? Each individual score(Verbal/Quant), or the percentiles? We look at both the composite and subjectareas. This is a rigorous quantitative program, so we'll look at the quantscore for confidence you can do the work. If we have language concerns, we'lllook to verbal score. 12. Hi Sir. Is thereany minimum requirements for our TOEFL or GRE scores? There is no minimum test score, but weare evaluating your test scores along with everything else in your application.After submitting your application, you have access to a status page where youcan fill out a form to update us on any new information, such as a new testscore. 13. I rememberreading or listening at some point that you don't think the admissionscommittee will be able to interview all accepted candidates? Is this still true?If not, by when would it be reasonable to expect to hear about interviewdecisions? We are hoping to interview applicants in themajority of cases. We simply do not have the bandwidth to provide everycandidate with an interview. To be asked to interview is neither an overtlypositive or negative signal, we are just wanting to meet you and answer anyoutstanding questions we may have about you candidacy.
