In 2017, the HKU Faculty of Business and Economics was ranked No. 1 in Asia for the 8th consecutive year by The Economist for its full-time MBA, No. 1 Asian School & No. 12 Worldwide by Financial Times in the "Top MBAs for Finance" rankings, and No. 7 International School by Forbes in "The Best International MBAs: One-Year Programs" rankings. In 2018, The EMBA-Global Asia Programme was ranked No. 1 in the World in the Global EMBA Rankings conducted by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS).

The Marketing Area at the Faculty of Business and Economics is now accepting applications to the Marketing Ph.D. program (the Consumer Behavior track). Eligible candidates from business, psychology, and other disciplines are encouraged to apply and should complete the online application by December 1, 2018 to be considered for the 2019-2020 admissions. The University of Hong Kong will offer the following fellowships/scholarships to Ph.D. students:

-Hong Kong PhD Fellowship (HKPF) Scheme
HK$301,200 per year (For details, please visit: http://www.rgc.edu.hk/hkphd)

-University Postgraduate Fellowships (UPF)
At least HK$217,420 per year

-Postgraduate Scholarships (PGS)
At least HK$199,920 per year

In addition to the aforementioned fellowships/scholarships, the FBE PhD Entrance Scholarship will be available to new students admitted to the full-time PhD program in the Faculty of Business and Economics on the basis of academic merit at the time of admission. The number of scholarships to be awarded will be determined each year. The Scholarship is of the value of HK$42,100 for the academic year 2018-2019.
