我好像想通了。就是是Earth's crust 整个包裹了星球而不是地球包裹了。不好意思打扰打加了。

it 不指代所有格的意思应该是 不能只指代处在所有格位子的名词crust; it 是完全指代，这里指代的是 Earth's crust, 逻辑上是对的。
