请教Prep08的一道逻辑题，为啥选B 不选 D呀？

A prominent investor who holds a large stake in the Burton Tool Company has recently claimed that the company is mismanaged.  As evidence for this claim, the investor cited the company's failure to slow production in response to a recent rise in its inventory of finished products.  It is doubtful whether an investor's sniping at management can ever be anything other than counterproductive, but in this case it is clearly not justified.  It is true that an increased inventory of finished products often indicates that production is outstripping demand. 你题干仔细读下，读5遍，不可能读不懂。
找句子之间的逻辑关系，这句是支持哪一句的？那句是结论？

所以到底选B还是选D？如果选B，就意味着第一个黑体是整个argument的conclusion？个人认为这有点牵强啊

它就是整个argument的conclusion。
没法解释。读5遍，不行就读10遍。不可能读不懂，读懂了自然知道那个是conclusion。

问下楼主，这段话想表达的意思是什么？
这个就是conclusion。
intermediate conclusion 就是中间的结论，用来支持最后的结论的。

所以就是B
