Whether we spend time with one or two close friends or with a large number of friends is a hot topic in our society. Different people hold different opinions due to their distinct lifestyles. If I was faced with this question, I would prefer to spend time with a large number of friends. In the following discussion, I would like to reason and provide evidence to support my viewpoint.
The first and most significant reason that we can not neglect is that we can learn more information from others. As we all know, everyone living in the community has his/her own way of getting information. But sometimes, that is just not enough. At this moment, your friends will tell you more of what you need to know. For example, every time when I meet with many friends, I would probably be told which shop is on sales; where I can buy cheaper books; what the new events are happening in our society, sometimes even some job openings of a large company .On the other hand, I can only get limited information with only one or two friends. I think there is no better example than this to demonstrate my point more clearly.
Another head and chief reason that I have chosen to put here is that we can make more friends if we spend time with a large number friend. In order to see this clearly, let us see an example: I often spend time with many friends, such as shopping, studying or chatting. They often introduce their friends to me, thus give me more chances to make more new friends. On the contrary, I could only have one or two friends if I just spend time with them. If you can see this, you can understand it more deeply.
Admittedly, there is no denying that spend time with many friends may occupy much more time. For instance, I should arrange my time with different friends every day. However, this alone does not lend strong support to weaken what I have supported. When advantages and disadvantages are carefully examined, the most striking conclusion is obvious.
In sum, taking into account all the factors discussed above, which sometimes intertwine to form an organic whole and thus become more persuasive. We can safely come to the conclusion that it is better to spend time with a large number of friends not only because we can learn more information but also because we can make more friends. |
