还是觉得有些问题，这不能说明是因为有histidine --> 能存活啊，也许是其他因素导致的呢？？

我觉得应该选B，见黄色部分。因为原文中有明确的地方说明storage spaces 是有可能是ceremonial的（因为在它附近），同时又通过后面的转折说明这些spaces可能也是有实际用途的，所以选B。

对那些原来不能生存的植物来说，原来因为没有histidine，所以不能生存，现在因为有了这个特殊的herb，也就是有了histidine，所以他们也能生存了，这个就能得出有histidine --> 能生存，无histidine --> 不能生存

E说其他植物也有histidine，原文又说这些植物也可以存活，但是有一个gap，就是，没把这些植物的存活与histidine联系起来，所以无法加强

这题我也选的E,当时就是觉得刺不能导致刺的行为使蜜蜂受伤害，可是又觉得with the result that不好，一向被认为是不好的结构。后来看了讨论贴，试图说服自己也许就是因为有刺导致了后面的这个事实，也就是C选项。刚刚又查了一些barbed的用法，它只能做形容词，也就是说c选项中的heavily barbed and staying where it is inserted 不是我理解中的过去分词和现在分词并列修饰stinger，我记得形容词是不可以和分词并列修饰名词的，所以我又觉得应该选E了
