求教一道GWD， 答案似乎有误

题目在下面，答案给的是E。可是我认为应该是C，因为通货膨胀，所以政府的增加救济金也于事无补。而E选项，关于儿童的，我觉得有点不相关，完全想不到儿童的问题。还有elder parents也不该是over 65 people啊~！实在是想不明白，求教大家。谢谢！

C的重点不在购买力。题中说了inflation忽略不计，所以C以数倍与通货增长率的速度涨价，那就相当于没涨价！！核心在于文中的，inflation negligible。
E的难点，1children指的是，老人的子女；2supplement是动词3对句子的理解：老人的收入当中一部分通常是子女给的，但子女仅仅补贴刚好能保证老人comfortable的生活。暗指 老人的pension高了，子女的supplement就少了，总的income维持不变。

我一開始也是選了C
但是後面仔細看覺得被騙了阿
(C)they buy goods whose prices tend to rise especially fast in times of inflation 是說他們買了容易受通膨影響的商品
而這題說忽略了通膨的影響
意思不就是根本沒有影響嗎...

这里不应该选择通货膨胀，因为题目说了通货膨胀是微不足道的，所以通货膨胀并不是原因。这里说的是老人的经济状况并没有比以前更好，意思除了变差了，还有可能是跟以前差不多。在这里就是取差不多的意思，因为老人以前退休金少，所以孩子给的生活补贴就多些，但现在退休金增加了，相应的孩子给的补贴就少了。“enough to provide them with a comfortable living”正是暗示孩子给的补贴是会随着老人的退休金改变的
