Airline officials assert that the publicity given the gruesomeness of major airplane accidents focuses media attention on the airline industry and the increase in the number of reported accidents is caused by an increase in the number of news sources covering airline accident, not by an increase in the number of accidents.

Which of the following, if true, would seriously weaken the assertions of the airline officials?

(A) The publicity surrounding airline accidents is largely limited to the country in which the crash occurred.

一点想法，希望有帮助。
先看问题：weaken assertions of the ariline officials
再看段落大意：无论什么时候一旦有重大的飞机事故发生，就会有接连的airplane mishaps reported，这种现象再accident之后的几个月发生。AO 说为什么会发生这个现象是因为你们宣传的太多了关于这个方面，而不是事故发生的次数增加。

读完了，也之道要weaken谁，但是你要想清楚 AO 说的那句话的重点核心是什么？是发生的原因。AO在跟你讨论发生的原因，那么你要说的就是反驳的原因。

A：首先，没有讨论说发生的原因，而是在说宣传的特定性。很明显与问题想讨论的内容不相符。其次，这个选项说出了宣传的特定性，也就是变相缩小了宣传的范围，有可能是加强了AO所说的内容，所以排除。
B：A accidents 主要发生在旅游高峰时期。很好，提到了发生的另一种情况。起码得到了我想知道的关于发生的原因的内容，不确定，先留着。
C：New organization 是什么？ receive coverage 又是什么？与题目所说完全无关，排。
D：还是讲receive coverage的事情，而不是跟AO讨论发生的原因，排。
E：你告诉我飞机miles的事情是什么意思？我们在讨论关于发生的原因。如果非要把miles扯到发生的原因上时，你需要脑补。但是，CR忌讳的就是脑补。没告诉你的事情，不要瞎猜。

原因结构 weaken两种方法1.有他因导致结果 2. 有因无果

这里用第一种。
体重逻辑链： press多报道多<--------------想要覆盖之前重大的accident
他因就是并不是因为想覆盖而是因为这个时间段本来就是事故多发期
