1。translating 动词优于名词  

2。但是until completion又觉得怪怪的

有人可以讲解一下 为何B优于D吗？

最重要的错误是pronounced it，因为是定语从句，that在从句中做宾语，所以不用it。

One more question about the "work". I understand that "work" in choices A, B, and C refers to " the translation " and that in choice D, E the "work" refers to Iliad, am I correct?

并没有这种说法，因为began后面可以跟 sth/to do/doing，至于是否优先，需要看其他语法点是否正确。以前总是被这种莫名其妙的优先定律搞的遇到一些新出现的语法点就痛苦，就像attempt at与attempt to一样。

同意你的看法  只不过这种优先法则是我用来争取时间的一种策略 像attempt at 与attempt to 我总是会先看attempt to 的选项 如果没有重大的错误 我就会选它

以这题为例 我会先看DE  

D的错误 有1.work应指代translation D变成了指代Iliad 改变原意且逻辑不对 2.it 多余 3. as 也多于

而E很明显时态错误 所以只有B了..

本题我是这么做的：因为下午刚做完，所以印象比较深刻：

2/3法：先看前三个，首先排除A,明显的从句结构不完整；

B感觉没什么错误，先放放，接着看C，发觉后面的时态和表达实在是痛苦，而且少了him，多了it，先排除再说；

D/E，因为是and引导的并列that，所以看到it，马上排除，同时还看到少了him，两个错误重合，就不想再看下去了。

没有him一定错吗？

偶查了一下，只有一个这样的例子：repairs take time to carry out。但我觉得这个例子跟本题有点不同；如果本题中不加him，至少我是觉得看起来很不舒服。至于ETS是否喜欢用，是否跟语法中一致，只有通过排除法进行了，特别是在遇到这种情况下。
