A moderate fever stimulates the activity of the ody's disease-fighting white blood cells and also inhibits the growth of many strains of disease-causing bacteria.

If the statements above are true, which of the following conclusions is most strongly supported by them?

(A) Aspirin, an effective painkiller, alleviates the pain and discomfort of many illnesses.
(B) Aspirin can prolong a patient's illness by eliminating moderate fever helpful in fighting some diseases.

答案是B,我选的C.
B和C都是说Aspirin不好. 但是怎么排除C的呢???

首先提干问的是如果以上的statement正确的话,能得出什么结论。那么结论就只能从题目给出的信息中推出。

我觉得c的错误是擅自设定了aspirin inhibits the growth of white blood cells这个题目中没有的前提条件, 题目只说aspirin eliminate moderate fever,至于怎么eliminate的根本没说。所以B更好，因为B中了题目中所给到的信息。

C的错误之一就是直接指出aspirin eliminates moderate fever,而略去了中间的moderate fever的环节。而且相较于C，B更为全面

我开始也选的是C，后来看解释发现原题问的是能得出什么结论，而不是问什么”assumption“能得出医生不提倡使用asprin的结论。。。一句话，条件和结论弄反了~
