My 2 cents. The key is fast reading. Try to understand the subject matter at the first reading. This requires you to be fully engaged. Tell yourself that there is only one chance. You may practice fast reading by using easier, lighter passages. They may not help improve your overall language proficiency but at least give you the mindset, the sense of urgency.
For another thing, you must keep up the momentum. Check the time every 3 or 5 questions, and try to catch up immediately if you find youself lagging behind.
It is customary for you to slow down as you get weary. But tell youself you have to keep up because you have prepared for weeks or even months for that short period. You cannot fail!
