In a room filled with 7 people, 4 people have exactly 1 sibling in the room and 3 people have exactly 2 siblings in the room. If two individuals are selected from the room at random, what is the probability that those two individuals are NOT siblings?

A:5/21
B:3/7
C:4/7
D:5/7
E:16/21

GMAT的很多数学题具有给出数字的特殊性
比如这题里面，一共有7个人，其中4个人有1个兄弟是组内的其他人，由于兄弟的对应关系（你是我的兄弟我就是你的兄弟），所以这4个人里面是2组兄弟；另外3个人有2个兄弟是组内的其他人，很容易得到这3个人互为兄弟
那7个人分成了两组，一组4人2组兄弟的，一组3人互为兄弟的，题目的意思可以通过反方向计算
1-选出来的两人是兄弟的比率=选出来的两人不是兄弟的比率
选出来的两人是兄弟分两种情况，一种是从4人组里选出来的，一种是从3人组里选出来的
从4人组里选出来的比率=(选出第一个人的比率 4/7)*(从剩下的人里面选出他兄弟的比率 1/6)=2/21
从3人组里选出来的比率=(选出第一个人的率比 3/7)*(从剩下的人里面选出他兄弟的比率 2/6)=1/7
所以
选出来的两人不是兄弟的比率=1-选出来的两人是兄弟的比率=1-2/21-1/7=16/21
答案是E
