请教大家两道PREP题和一道JJ题，快考了，麻烦各位出手相助！！！

PREP

1.   The function f is defined for all positive integers n by the following rule: f(n) is the number of positive integers each of which is less than n and has no positive factor in common with n other than 1.  If p is any prime number, then f(p)=

B.      p-2

C.      (p+1)/2

还有，能解释一下为什么选A吗？ 

2.    The number x and y are not integers.  The value of x is closest to which integer?

(1)    4 is the integer that is closest to x+y

(2)    1 is the integer that is closest to x-y

我觉得选C就可以了，因为条件2推出x-y=1,(大概1左右），然后代入条件一，有x+x-1=4，不久知道x大概等于2.5了，但是因为不知道1是0.5~0.99间还是1.01~1.49间，同理4也是不知道是3.5~3.99间还是4.01~4.49间，我都越说越糊涂了，麻烦各位nn赐教！！！

还有一道JJ想不明白，麻烦大家指点一下：

9的N次方 = 10000X， n是整数 问n是几
a: 1/10<X<1
b:想不起来了   a反正是sufficient

这题的思路应该是怎么样的？

1.函数 f(n)是比n小且除了1以外与n没有正公因数的正整数的数目。p是质数的话，那么p除了1和它本身没有其它约数，所以f(p)=
            p-1，楼主带入个f(2) f(3) f(5)f(7)想想就明白了

2.(1)--------->3.5<x+y<4.5 无法求x范围，不充分

（2）------------->0.5<x-y<1.5 无法求x范围，不充分

3.(1)+(2) 4<2*x<6   2<x<3 无法知道x接近2多一点还是3多一点 不充分

（1)1/10<X<1----------->10^3<10000X<10^4----------------->10^3<9^N<10^4因为N是整数，N只能取4  独立充分
