就是对这段话的改写！这些cantons shared一些urbanization之外的characteristics(对应文中other caracteristics)，这些characteristics导致implementation of women's suffrage.
个人建议：看到other than/beyond等词的时候，要多回味一下，我发现GWD中有出现好几个这个选项都是对的（不绝对，只是一种语言现象或者说选项特征）！因为这样可以适当的增加一点难度，考生的通常做法是定位，带着定位的内容去找选项，如果不熟悉这种选项特征的话，往往看到这种选项第一个kill掉了！比如说我们在原文看到的是A，可是答案中是非B，往往就把它干掉了！

哪位指教一下,我怎么觉得这里说的一些影响suffrage的原因,感觉也象是假设条件?

个人建议：所谓assumption就是推导出某个result（如有A-->explanation,那末A就是assumption）或者explanation的前提，而非resul或者explanation本身！本文的focus在于theory的application在某个case上不适用！而不是assumptions underlying a particular theory !如果如D所言的话，assumption是什末呢？theory又是什末呢？而且clarify也不准确，所谓clafiry是说别人对某咚咚有误解，所以要跳出来clarify一下！
关键在于对几个抽象词的理解：applicability ，clarify, assumption！
个人建议：集中所有的主体题型，正向反向对照文章和选项来看，体会常见的主体题型的抽象词的意思和套路的对照！正向就不用说了！反向：比如说先看到选项explanation of an unexpected change or finding，不用看文章就能知道大致套路：背景知识，某个发现和以前不一样（unexpected），于是一堆人跳出来解释云云！何谓change--upsurge/indrease/distinction等都叫做change。

这真的不是，我之所以选错，因为other than 等于except，是不包括在内的除了。
那么这句话就是说他们有共同点，但是这些共同点不包括urbanization
很明显就是错的啊。。。。当时犹豫了好久，他要是改成besides我就选了
