good luck!

Albert has explained the pace. Pace setting will help you put more time on the first 10-15 problems, which will basically set the level of difficulty if the test and therefore set your base score. If you do well in the first 15 problems, you are more likely going to have a good score. The reason that this pace put less time on the later problems is that more experimental problems are among those. They would not be counted into your final score.

I think that you should set the pace according to how well and how fast you can do the test. Are you done with the GMAT studying and ready to go for the test?

If you read actively, you would not be thrown by the long passage in CR. My impression is that the ling of reasoning is clear in each problem. When you read, you should know what the passage is trying to say, e.g. the conclusion, the premises, and sometimes, the "gap". If you are still concerned over long CR, find some and practice. People got frustrated by long CR because they did not read attentively, thus not knowing what the passage was about. Read, understand, remember. That is what you need to do.

Regarding the pace, Kaplan is too hard to apply the normal pace. But if you run our of time during the test, you should have a contingent plan, say pick the choices that look like good one. I read that sb. random picked the answers for the last RC and still scored 750.

You need to pay attention to Math! It is worth the time. A difference between 49-51 can yield a 30 difference in final score.

mindfee, you points are very pertinent. thanks.  I will intensionly focus more on the line of reasoning in CR/RC and hope to develop my instinct gmat thinking.  as to Math, will finish Qian's book and  Feifei's material within the coming 2 weeks and pay attention to JJ.

thank you!
