对啊,牛牛快出手啊.现在我觉得A也是不对的.但是对OG给出的答案E,我还是有疑义.

我想知道allow这里是"允许"的意思吗?如果是这个意思,那么OG的解释我觉得行不通.allow sb to do A rather than do B的意思就是"允许sb做A而不允许sb做B",那么原文就成了motion"允许jury回家,不允许sb被confined to",意思不太对.请继续指教.

我们把选项E拿出来分析一下句子结构吧.      

      Judge Bonham denied {a motion to [allow members of the jury( to go home at the end of each day) rather than( be confined to)]}

大括号里面是整个宾语,中括号里面是修饰a motion的部分,小括号里面是rather than前后并列的部分.如果allow在这里是"允许"的意思,不是就变成了"允许members of the jury做A事情(to go home at the end of each day)而不是B事情(be confined to)",岂不是很荒谬?我的说法哪里错了呢?请指正.

个人感觉，应该是than后面省略了to

补全了是 allow member .... to go home ..... than to be con­fined to a hotel.
