I has English as my second Major. Since I am living abroad now, I feel my English is a bit better than others who haven't spend as much time in English as I have. Relatively I stand out when present and provide proposals. If you want to live abraod in North America, a major in English worthies the time in term of your personal performance not in term of another degree. My point is it is beneficial if the English major helps you to spend more effort to study English. You may have high score in TOEFL and GMAT without a English Degree. But more formal English training set you apart in a non-academic way or an academic way other than just scores of English Exams. If you live in North American, there is nothing more important to be recognized by expressing yourself well in both work and life in English. |
