HKU finance PhD placement v.s. Erasmus U, tilburg U, groningen U

How is HKU finance PhD placement now? On their website, all the placements are China mainland. Is the possiblity of going to Europe, Australia very low? How is this program compared with those in Erasmus U, Tilburg U, and Groningen U?

From UT dallas ranking, the output of HKU is quite good. But why is the placement so bad compared with its output in top journals? In contrast, the ranking of HKU in Ideas is very bad. Could anyone explain it a bit?

my personal choice ranking (if you got all the offers ): Erasmus> HKU=TU (HKU may be equal to TU, but I would slightly prefer HKU) >GU.

The reasons could be: psychological distance and academic connections.
Specifically, if you were studying at HKU, it means that you stay in China physically and culturally. Accordingly, you do not have any other experiences besides Chinese culture, and thus you are more likely to make a decision to stay in China when you graduate.

Could you please elaborate how Erasmus is better the Tilburg ? Someone told me that the academic ranking about Finance PhD of Tilburg is higher than that of Erasmus. Thank you.

I mean, in general, Erasmus is better than TU. But I do not know the specific case of Finance. The program of finance is in the management school or economics school?

HKU总体上好，但是金融的研究水平实在是丢人，纯粹个人意见。Erasmus的RSM研究水平比HKU好一点吧。
