2-week UMD MSF 转正 & 1st AD from PPD MSAF

    在CD上潜水潜了1年多~终于要发帖和小伙伴们share一下了！
      
    1月15 notification date 被UMD wl 之后就有点心灰意冷的，没想到二月接连两天收到转正消息（不过目前还是not official ) & ppd 的ad 终于有书读了!
   
    之前放在waiting list 上面也在CD上找如何转正的经验，很少，所以想说说自己在这两个星期做了什么。
    受到jsmr19930413童鞋的启发，就像他说”最有效的是找你申请学校的在读或者毕业校友推荐，然后让录取但是withdraw的同学推荐，再不行就是自己写信argue～加油！” 幸运的时是，正好楼主有一个大牛好朋友手上有UMD msf 的AD 但不准备去，所以楼主就拜托他回信学校的时候顺便推荐一下自己。估计我是占了他的坑了...
    不过无良中介居然说这招没用 T^T,于是楼主就又根据别的学校的essay内容改了改，发了一封email 给UMD。主要内容如下：
   
     1.update 你最近的情况：新得了什么相关的奖、即将又要去哪里实习（主要就是体现自己还是在不断努力自我提升）；最好有新分数啦，这一点上分数还是最有力的证明！因为誓死不再考了 所以只能写上面两点。
     2.再次强调一下你想去他家！
     3.补充软实力内容，让学校了解你是怎么样的人。UMD的essay限制实在是，个人感觉没有办法完全呈现自己，所以在这里补充是一个很好的途径。楼主这里补充的内容和推荐信的内容有点相辅相成的感觉，也比较unique~ so....essay就是story-telling 不是吗，让admission committee 了解你的故事。
    还有一位好朋友 给我找来了如下内容，我对战wl的思路就是按着这个来的
  1.Most importantly, Take control! If u decide to stay on the waiting list, be proactive. Here is what u can do to boost your chances of being accepted
  BE PROACTIVE cause there is no rank in the waitlist of UMD, and the committee would review ur file  on bi-weekly basis.
  2.write a letter to the admission office. The college has already decided that u have the academic credentials for admittance. Now's the time to mention  any additional nonacademic factors that might help ur case - any new achievements or supplemental information.Emphasize ur strong desire to attend the college and make the case for why u r a good fit. You can tell them that u'll enroll if they accept u ,but only if u r absolutely  certain u will.
  3.Realize that u hv already achieved something .U were wait-listed ,not turned away.Many students were not that successful.
