Hi Luingor, I got the Ad in MSF. Currently, I am in Canada. I never wnt to Washington before, but the rent sounds like too cheap. I live in Montreal, which one of most city cheapest in NA. Even in montreal, the rent is around 500 CND/Month for a 1 bedroom appartment. I cheched the website of Chinese community in Washington before. I think 800-1000 USD /Month for a one BR appartment is reasonable there. If you share with another person, the rent manybe 400 - 500 /month. If you want to find a part-time job, it is possible. In my experience, I don't think the professors will give you any trouble because you are not with any specific professor in a MBA program, which is course bases instead thesis based in all universities. However, it would be hard to have free time in the first year in a MBA program. There are tens of group/individual projects, reading reqirement, case analysis, and presentations. If you are a supper language master, you may have a chance. I do not decide yet whether go there. It is extremly expensive program and place to live. It is not easy to find a position in IMF, if you have no connection or network there. Finding a good job in US more depend on who you know instead of what you can do. |
