Hello there,
Well your plan sounds pretty good to me! You have a 750! An excellent TOEFL. And what seems to be a good business. I think that you can pretty much stick to the Top 20 schools, and that you probably don’t have to go lower. Instead of adding more schools in the lower ranking, my suggestion to you would be to add more schools in the 10-20 ranking, and then making sure you are sending them the best possible application with the best possible essays,
Best,
Jon

给你一组数据,如果你毕业想做MBB的话 应该对你有帮助,简单的说MBB的成功率跟学校rank不是linear而是分tier的

转 (数据从LinkedIn来,代表MBB的人数占所有consulting人数的总和)
http://poetsandquants.com/2014/01/17/where-top-mbas-work-in-consulting/2/
http://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/how-low-rankedeasybad-does-an-mba-have-to-be-before-it-becomes-a-net-negative-to-go

Generally when you get outside the top-14 it becomes nearly impossible to get MBB (they'll take maybe 2-3 per year)...but 2nd tier firms will still bite in relatively large numbers at schools like Georgetown.

Here's the % MBB from each of these schools, based on the data in the link:
Harvard: 66%
Stanford: 75%
Chicago: 42%
UPenn: 55%
Northwestern: 50%
MIT: 62%
Columbia: 47%
Dartmouth: 63%

DECENT SIZED DROP

Duke: 27%
UC-Berkeley: 24%
Cornell: 25%
Michigan: 23%
Virginia: 40%
UCLA: 23%
New York: 17%
Carnegie: 15%
Yale: 21%
UNC: 12%
Texas: 7%
Indiana: 3%
Emory: 11%
Georgetown: 6%
Washington U: 9%
U Washington: 3%
Vanderbilt: 5%

(obviously I added the emphasis around the drop)
(edit: maybe you could argue there's a smaller step change down after yale, too)
(edit2: to be clear, the step change in MBB recruiting occurs after M7 + Dartmouth)

Very useful and interesting one, let me rank it in %:

Stanford                75%
Harvard                66%
Dartmouth                63%
MIT                        62%
UPenn                55%
Northwestern        50%
Columbia                47%
Chicago                42%
Virginia                40%
Duke                        27%
Cornell                25%
UC-Berkeley        24%
Michigan                23%
UCLA                        23%
Yale                        21%
New York                17%
Carnegie                15%
UNC                        12%
Emory                11%
Washington U        9%
Texas                7%
Georgetown        6%
Vanderbilt                5%
Indiana                3%
U Washington        3%

- I guess this non-linear feature is not only for consulting but also every competitive industry......
- For the really low one, one have to be careful that the placement record maybe simply due to personal experience but not the reputation/network of the university........
