15Fall 金融PhD申请定位求助

诸位好，刚刚来PhD版，向诸位求助定个位。
LZ北美研究生两年项目在读，打算今年秋季申请15fall入学的PhD。
个人条件，
本科上财金融，优秀毕业生，3.7/4；
硕士，美国top40学校数量金融，绩点几乎4.0，这学期一门考了A-，3.9+/4；
论文都是上课的个人小研究什么的。
没有什么牛人找的来写推荐信，也就是自己学校老师，老师也是刚刚入行，没啥名气。

申请目标只有香港四校，（排除港科。。知道自己没那个实力。。）。
想请问一下，
1，香港城大机率如何，香港中文机率如何？
2，香港理工是否真的一年不如一年，其会计金融的申请难度如何？
3，港大是否有机会？

非常希望诸位前辈，同学一起探讨。谢谢！

尊敬的版主，您好。
我是看了科大在读者的背景感觉有难度。哈哈，我会试试的。
另外，请教一下，您觉得申请HK的博士，陶瓷这个过程是否显得重要？

为什么不尝试申请美国的项目。
我见过georgia state有类似你背景的学生。现在GSU还是很猛的，毕业生都expect有能发前三的paper才能毕业。

If I were you:

1. Definitly try HKUST, not meaning of high chances, but applying to only 4 school for PhD is indeed a bit too less in fact, and worth trying.
2. CUHK, I suggest you may also consider apply to the economics department in additional to the finance department; a couple of financial economics professor over there too.
3. CityU, and HKU is around par in research in econ & fina (time for the UT Dallas ranking goes in)
4. PolyU and HKBU are generally consider to be weaker than the above 4 in econ & fina research.

P.S.
I/ applying 4 school only for PhD is a bit too less - PhD also have lower intake take, and the risk of not getting in is high even you are orginally qualified. Suggest to apply for some other unless personal reason, e.g. NUS, NTU, SMU for SG.
II/ if you are doing something quantitative, consider also: HKUST Maths, CU Stat & SEEM, CityU Math, PolyU AMA.

您好，谢谢您的建议。
不选择美国，主要因为我觉得，PhD不单是学习，更是生活方式。个人的学习生活经历让我非常不喜欢美国的生活风格，更喜欢大都市。而且，个人更加倾向于在亚太地区
