Airbnb had legal battle with the New York Law that regulates the residents can't rent out properties for fewer than 30 days when they aren't here. The law had a blow to Airbnb and cracked down the benefits of these landlords who buy house and run them as hotels. Under the agreement, Airbnb will provide the users' information to NY officials if the official wants. Although the Airbnb had to surrender some market in NY, the service from this online app is growing rapidly and has covered most countries.

The service supported by Airbnb is so convenient that it popularizes most of the place and countries. But in German, politicians see Airbnb as threat to both the hotel industry and the availability of low-rent apartments for permanent residents. So the German has applied a law that restricts the short-term rent of Germany house after knowing the action of NY official to airbnb.

The politicians worry about that the Airbnb service will interfere in the rental market. However, the fact is that most Airbnb renters are offering a room in their departments that can not be put onto a large rental market. At the same time, many cities see the issue differently. Airbnb conducted economic impact on these cities with more money from travelers spent on the couse of their trip, including Berlin. Not only that, the service provided by Airbnb brings great accommodation experience to tourists.

The author rent a house for a short-time via airbnb on her honeymoon, which she believes makes a great convenience for her.The owner of the house gave her many advices on food and transportation.

But airbnb's model is controversial.But the problem is that Airbnb may be illegal.Airbnb encourages people to rent their homes to visitors,while Big cities draw a fairly firm distinction between a house and a hotel,and Airbnb’s entire business is based on obscuring that line.Such a running model is seems on the verge of breaking the law)

However, in the author's opinion, some smart local governments should allow airbnb to exist for the reason that airbnb recruits a large number of staff to serve the industry, and the presence of airbnb can attract more visitors;What’s more, this business model can bring tax revenue to the government;

San Francisco Mayor Lee recently announced the formation of a group to help address the issues posed by the rise of new tech companies that blur the lines between formal commerce and traditional exchange economies.The author thinks other cities should follow his footstep and take note of what’s happening on the ground and start making changes to ensure that airbnb is legal.
