Speaker: When you tell someone your goal, it makes you less likely to achieve your goal because you have already got the satisfaction
when you told others. Telling others about your goal will resist your temptation to achieve your goal.
The best way to achieve your goal is to keep your mouth shut. Scientists have done a research and they found that people who do
not tell others their goals tend to persist the goal longer than those who have already told others.

time2: 2min 08"
The writer talked about a traditional way of setting goals, which is based on many aspects such as social life, study, health, etc.
But unfortunately this method does not work well for the writer and he or she is going to introduce a new way of setting goals.

time3: 1min 24"
The writer introduced a way of setting goals from identity. This method of goal setting is not limited to any specific aspects.
The writer also offered two examples, one is that he likes to travel and the other is that he likes to teach. Both of the goals
are not limited to specific goals and the writer feel free to pursue the goals as he wish.

time4: 1min 54"
The author divided his goal of self-expression into several different aspects of himself. For example, the master one, the champion
       one, the A-player one, etc.

time5: 2min 30"
The author explained in detail how the identity-based goal setting approach works. And he also stated that each aspect needs a current
       goal to achieve it.
A single goal can achieve different aspects of identity.

time6: 2min 28"
The author's new goal setting method is loose in coupling but strong in coherence.
Often the mere act of deciding to pay more attention to a particular aspect of self-expression is to kick-start it and get some fresh air.

Obstacle: 7min 35"
The author talked about the way of injecting more personality into your work, relationship and other aspects of life.
Then the author gave an example about how she treated her desire for travelling and revealed that only if you treat your personality seriously
can you achieve your goals and finally express your identity.
Later the author shared ways of how to identify your specific identity and personality which is differet from your parents' wish, the socitey's pressure,
etc and find a true yourself.
The author also supported her idea by giving examples of herself about how her goals help achieve her personality and she expressed the hope that her
new way of goal setting can be helpful to others.

The passage is mainly discussed about how to develop goals using a new method of identify ourselves, which is different from the classic goals that defined into different aspects of life.

The authro said he was not perfectly line out his goals. While he gave himself several labels such as a champion, a master...becuases he knows what he likes and who he wanted to be.

And it would be better if one can exhibit these labels loose coupling and strong coherent.

Sometimes bring your personality into more activities. He showed one example of playing disc golf. When he brings his A-PLAYER when he was playing one time, he tried his best and made some very impressive shots. And he was really satisfied.

Obstacle:5'59

Realize who you are and be the master of your personality. Dig much more deeply when you figuring out the list of personalities. Make the best effort to generalize these personalities as much as possible. E.G what are you usually do when you have spare moments.

One major benefit of this approach is to help oen to know which goals are the right choices and which are not.

谢谢瓜瓜~~今天差点被混乱的事情搞忘记小分队了。。。

less likely to happen
feeling of already done !
say nothing.....
True! ( # ▽ # )

Speed:
Time2:1'10
how to set goals more consciously
The classical approach of the author is to focus on covering
the various areas of life  and it turned out this way didn't work out.
Time3:56'
set goals as specific accomplishments or a signal of yourself
Time4:52'
The writer divide himself to many part of ''me''.
Time5:1'06
Those parts are closely related.
Time6:1'12
(个人疑问:what about the part of unloved me ?
感觉和classical approach相比是把之前的areas转变成了persoanl interest part
从而更有动力?。。。好吧 pia飞.....)
Obstacle:4'37
The part about your need for new experiences and exploration
The benefits of this approach

thank you.

1. it is better not to announce your goal. research says you will feel less motivated after you tell people your goal.

2:author says he used to categorize his goal. However, he will go sidetrack sometimes. If he just live without goal, the result is even worse.

3: author says he started to set goal according to his identity. he does not specific his goal in certain area. he gives example such as traveling and teaching.

4:author lists out several personalities that he wants to build such as the master, A player, the guide, the explorer, the member and the champion.

5:by setting the specific personality, author is able to do activities according to that personality. For example, he says he wants to be explorer, he then sets trip to go around the world.

6: there are some aspects of personality author wants to include in the list but not yet. he suggests the list of personalities should be loosing coupling means less overlap. After we set the goal we will be more open to the opportunities.
