Would you mind naming some of your personal considerations? Your undergrad and master's institution is far less known to profs in the US than are Qinghua or other top Chinese schools. Thus, academic background may not necessarily provide an advantage. Also, the exams are not taken yet.

i would say dufe is less known than any other top in China to any Prof all over the world. LOL. that's the reality.

一共也没几个，都申了吧。重点可能要放在排名靠后的几个里头。尽量看看有没有机会搞到什么connection。
实在不行你就申个master过去再说。

I don't believe so. Anyone confident in his/er credentials would consider the US. The only HK school, a degree from which guarantees a faculty position, is HKUST.

I am confused why don't believe?
I don't need a guarantee for teaching position after graduate. For sure, everything is changing. It would need amazing RP to be admitted by HKUST.

Suppose my GMAT is 720. my ielts is 7.5. I need assistantship to support myself. to some extent, money is important to me.

Actually, i am also interested in statistics. Do you think is it possible to transfer from fin to it?

真心不想读master啦。因为自己也不小了，而且已经两个fin的硕士文凭啦。。。最重要的是，我想自立啦。。

我的建议能不能去个牛校做个visiting，或者帮一些牛校的教授搞搞研究。我对东财没有什么直接概念，相信很多人也是。但如果你看很多印度老师的简历，他们本科大部分都在一些很一般的大学读的，但从印度管理学院毕业后都能申请到牛校。我觉得你也可以考虑走这条路
