1, lse的通知书, master or PHD?
    you can always transfer to a US school after you enter LSE. BF is a good reason for transfering for most American. In terms of transfer, LSE is better than a second-tier universities in Canada since its reputation is recognizable in US.
But remember, you have to be acquainted with professors in LSE to ge strong recommendations and you have to get satisfacting GPA in the first semester or two. These two factors will determine whether you can transfer to US successfully, of course the schools near Canada.

2, MBA is not a good jumping board to PhD.

Surely It can, as ppmm said. But why do you choose MBA since your goal is PhD. The teaching for MBA and PhD are totally different. You don't need to use two years "golden times" in something that is not closely related to your dream.

先谢谢姐姐。我收到的是master，不是没想过先读一个硕士再申请，但是到英国适应要4-5个月，刚刚适应过来就要重新投入申请的繁琐工作中，实在是有些担心自己应付不来，同时我还没太问清楚从英国去北美是否真的很容易。而且很多人都劝我不要和男朋友分开，这两点是我一直举棋不定的原因。
