Do you agree or disagree with the followingstatement: In order to achieve success, we must be more like others than bedifferent from others.

The world is muchcruel than before. Because of the economic crisis, hundreds of people fight forone position. And those who want to be successful will use all methods andknowledge to achieve their ambitions. Even some of them become more like otherswho are already successful in order to achieve their goals. However, I definitelydisapprove this action, and I will give three specific grounds to illustrate myidea.

First of all, itis very important for a person to gain his own competitive edge. But if you arejealous of others' success and want to copy what they do and what they think, youdefinitely will not succeed. No matter how hard you try to become Steven Jobs,you are not he. You are who you are, you have your own competitive edge, andyou have your own charming characteristics. Although you are not as clever as Jobs,you are hard working to become a Phone designer like Jobs. And diligent is yourcompetitive edge, is the weapon that lead you to your own success.

Moreover, while jobsare diversified in all working places, employers need different people to dodifferent jobs. If you don't have you own attractive characters or your ownfeatures, it is hardly for the employers to select you from the crowd. As anold saying goes: gold always shine among the sands. If everybody is resembled,employers will think they as the sands. But if you are unique and you can show theworld how special you are, then you are the gold among the sands.

Last but not theleast is that even if you become more like others and you are lucky enough to gainyour success in a future time, this success does not belongs to you, becauseyou are not who you are! How pity a person become the shadow of others, eventhe shadow of Steven jobs! If you cannot be proud of yourself and abandon yourown characters, you are the failure of your life.

In a nut shell, tobe like others is not the way to become successful but the way to become theshadow of others. Even you finally achieve your goals, without your owncompetitive edge and characteristics, you are not qualified to announce thatyou are a successful man.
