This paragraph provides necessary context in order to appreciate this book and the intro. of the first two parts.

The 1st paragraph describes that woman's legal history is skeletal but shares common foudation.
The 2nd paragraph describes the first wave and second wave feminism and the representative persons and events from those 2 waves. This Paragraph also informs us what we should put at the center of the anlysis and what should we recognize in order to appreciate the complexity of feminist issues.

Unfamiliar Words:

This paragraph provides the interpretations of the laws, which possess some biases toward women, of women. And it also provides some personage's words accompaying with their explanations.

This paragraph firstly presents different spheres, comes from the ideology, about the roles of the women and men and then describes the role of women in some areas, such as educating children. In the end, there is an evaluation of such ideology.

The process of how women obtained the rights for vote.
The 1st paragraph describes the fist step towards admision of women's economic and family status.
The 2nd paragraph describes the extension of needed equlity to the area of political rights.
The 3rd paragraph describes the final victory of women in the battle of wining over the rights of suffrage.

Unfamiliar Words:

The 1st paragraph intoduces a group whcih paid efforts to the improvement of women's status. But it did not help women gain suffrage widely.
The 2nd paragraph represents another event and impetus which let women gain authority for vote in the end.

上周由于家里出了点事。。。拉下了好多作业。。哭泣。。。

3'19 history of women in the law is still in the progress...feminism is a new field...fist wave and second wave.
2'09 the law begin before the first wave..the earliest American Law...men are responsible for their wives' civil debts and criminal misdemeanors... women are not independent
2'47 19 century..in public...women are responsible for the private sphere..while men are responsible for the public sphere
3'21 changes of legal restrictions on women's rights to property and limited husband's prerogatives over that property.. equality...claims for political rights...voting rights
3' in the late 19 century.. voting right is not covered...in the new century...the progress of how voting rights are finally passed...
obstacle
7'29 good blacks and bad blacks....good blacks.... Obama as an example...although, obama's more feminine presentation downplayed white fear, it was also risky....how white women and women of color can success in public area...C,P,O as examples.... part1and2 prescribe their stories...conclusion: C's  experience...P's experience...O's experience... the most important problem for women to be a president...

其实我读的时候每到一个新的part,脑子会过一遍之前看到的overal的内容啦。
碰到比较长的比较难的我也是读完会重看一遍逻辑的啦~(习惯貌似不是很好。。。)
你可以看看这个帖子嗯,关于怎么跟小分队阅读,常看常新。我觉得找到自己的方法最重要啦~加油!
