Political Advertisement:

Mayor Delmont's critics complain about the jobs that were lost in the city under Delmont's leadership.  Yet the fact is that not only were more jobs created than were eliminated, but the average pay for these new jobs has been higher than the average pay for jobs citywide every year since Delmont took office.  So there can be no question that throughout Delmont's tenure the average paycheck in this city has been getting steadily bigger.

感觉A挺对的啊，但是正确答案是D，但是D真的没有看出来如何support conclusion。请各位给指教一二。谢谢！

A是肯定不对的，原因是题目需要加强的是在D这个人任期内的paycheck. 而A说的是跟以前比，是错误的。题目需要D任期内的每年的比较。
B是一样的错误
C，跟工资无关
D，是对的。你可以想一下，如果被除掉的Job, 他们都是大企业的CEO，每人年薪1000万，然后被除掉了2个； 然后根据题目，新的工作比除去的多，那么，咱假设新增设了3个环卫工人，每个人工资10块钱。那么，平均的还是低了。所以，只有被除掉的人，其工资是average,那么，加上“增加的比除去的多而且增加的工作的pay要高”这个条件，结论才会成立，结论说的是总体的。
E 无关。

纯属自己来做题的，LZ酌情参考我的做题思路啊。。
背景：
Mayor Delmont's critics complain about the jobs that were lost in the city under Delmont's leadership.
前提：
not only were more jobs created than were eliminated, but the average pay for these new jobs has been higher than the average pay for jobs citywide every year since Delmont took office.
结论：
throughout Delmont's tenure the average paycheck in this city has been getting steadily bigger。
逻辑链：
more jobs created, average pay for jobs is higher since Delmont ---->  Delmont's tenure has bigger average paycheck.
提问：

推断答案方向：
工作单位都按时给工资

答案分析：
A, 说前三年的平均工资比D早期任期内的平均工资高，为削弱，错。
B，说D接管时正值10年工资最低时期，未说明D任期内的工资变化，与结论无关，错。
C，说有些工作岗位在D任职期间被建立又被取消，与结论无关，错。
D，说那些在D任职期间被取消的工作的平均工资相当于整个城市每年的平均工资，我没看明白这个选项，但是用排除法能选出，汗一个
E，说城内平均工资高于周边工资，比较的对象不对，错。

感谢讲解，分析非常清晰。比某些老师的讲解实用多了~~~但对于A还有点不清楚，A是在和之前比，但不也是和D的早期比较么？就是说他在自己任期内还是呈现出提高的。请帮忙再给解答一下，谢谢啦~~~

A其实是无关选项。说的是现在新的工作（10块钱）比之前新的工作高，就算这个成立，那么也只能说明D任期内，新的工作平均pay要高。LZ要弄明白一个事情，就是结论说的是overall average. 所以必须要把新的工作和除去的工作联系起来才可以。单纯说一个是不行的

恩，明白了，有道理。非常感谢。有时觉得这种题真的很讨厌，逻辑是我的痛处，正在努力克服它

A.选项的意思难道不是“过去三年为新就业人员提供的平均工资高于D上任之后的早些时候” 的意思嘛？应该是削弱或者无关吧。。
为毛我觉得和你说的正好相反了，童鞋。。
难道我思维混乱了。。。。
