Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? Attending a live performance (for example, a play, concert, or sporting event) is more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. Use specific reasons and examples to support your opinion.

Views differ greatly when it comes to the point that whether attending a live performance is more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. From my personal experience and observation of life, I agree with the statement that attending a live performance is indeed more enjoyable than watching the same event on television. Here are the reasons why.

It is obvious that if you watch a performance, no matter attending it by yourself or watching it through television, with some companies is better than if you do it alone. Because you can share your feeling with someone throughout the performance, especially for sporting events. When you are one of the supporters of a sports team, it would be a good feeling to watch the game with some others who is in the same attitude to support that team. The more these companies, the more exciting you can gain. Because you all have the same purpose - beat the opposite team to win the game. That’s why there are always so many people go to bars to watch sports match if they cannot attend the game by themselves.

Furthermore, attending a live performance can let you feel the exciting atmosphere that you cannot feel it through the television. The atmosphere comes from those people attending the performance. Everyone is expecting for the starting of the show. Everyone is expecting about the event. Under that atmosphere, you can easily share these kind of feeling and also become expecting and exciting about the performance.

If you watch a performance through the television, especially for those live events, there are often a lot of commercial advertisements interrupting the show. For continue watching the performance, you have to be tolerance to these advertisements. However, you do not have to tolerance these if you attending a live performance, because there is no such thing to interrupt you during the performance.

To sum up, from the abovementioned reasons, it is most reasonable for me to conclude that attending a live performance is more enjoyable then watching the same event on television.
