请教各位W的前辈，虽然可能是老生常谈的问题了。

看到前文有提到，第二轮录取的人比较多。但这是因为在第二轮申请的人较多所以录取的人也相对较多吗？如果我已经在第一轮截止前材料准备得差不多了，是否要考虑第二轮录取的人多这个因素，而把申请压后到第二轮呢？另想问：W的录取是ROLLING的吗？

1. u r rite. More ppl get admission at 2nd round is b/c the amount of applicants at 2nd round is more than 1st round.

2. just submit ur application when u feel u r ready. 1st round or 2nd round doesn't matter.

3. Not rolling. Wharton will set a date to annouce the result.

just to confirm that there's no difference between R1 and R2. It's all about getting ready with your application materials.

i plan to apply wharton in r1. my target is to work in a private equity industry. could you please help to tell some informatation about Wharton's strength in this area? Of course as much as detail as appreciated.

for example:

what kind of courses offered in this area,

the alumni network in this industry,

everyyear the number of career-switcher got the PE offer.

any active intership offering or any interesting projects in this area.

Sorry i have so many question. Thanks ahead for clarification.

有一个技术性问题在此请教。

我在今年5月底就早早地注册了一个帐号，也收到了WHARTON的EMAIL CONFIRMATION，自那以后没有登陆更没有改动信息。但这两天再LOGON发现不能用了，输入EMAIL要求RETRIEVE ID也说没有此EMAIL。发了信问，却是自动回复没有解答。想问问是否WHARTON在新一年度申请开始会把上一年度注册的帐号清空？还是因为我有一段时间没有LOGON而被注销了呢？

I just graduated from one business school which can rank among top10 business school in China as a bachelor this year. Now, i am working in one foreign consulting firm in bj. My original plan was to apply MBA in 3 years, but i am completely confused. The firm would not provide me any sponsorship and you know, MBA is much expensive for Chinese. I am wondering that whether the business school like Wharton would provide applier any sponsorship? BTW, my academic is not good enough. Does Wharton have strict criteria on that?

we have courses like Financial Derivatives, Investment Management, Funding Investments, Venture Capital, Behavioral Finance, and etc.

Wharton is definitely the strongest in Finance and has a broad alumni network in this industry.

The total number of offers in PE should be around 40-50.Not sure about career switchers. But if you wanna switch to PE, you'd better got some serious experience in IB or consulting before, or heavy industry experience.

yes, you can get internship. we got students go to PE for intern each summer.

I'm afraid to say that's it's really hard to get scholarship from Wharton(as is the case for most top 10 MBA programs). 1-2 applicants from mainland get scholarship each year. and it's only about $20k to $30k for the two years.Academic record is not the only thing taken into consideration when it comes to scholarship. working experience, GMAT, essay,recommendation....these all count! Just do the best in everything and you might get it with some luck.
