这个逻辑有点奇怪……他们名气不一样大也不能完全用地理来解释吧，而且欧陆和UK其实已经算是很近了的，特别是地理上来说。UZH我觉得名气确实不如LSE，但是如你所说哪里都可以做research，重点是哪个环境更适合楼主这种bg的人来做research，或者说从avg的角度来看，哪个项目更可能帮助楼主进入一个好一点的phd项目。后者可能跟学校名气不完全相关。

If you mean SFI, yes it's ... decent... but only the top students (top 2 maybe?)could get into SFI from EPFL. Same for UZH which is also in a partnership with SFI. As for myself I suppose I could more easily stand out from a economics programme than from a MFE programme and that's why I choose UZH instead of EPFL.

All I am saying is that,
1) it is your decision which one to pick.
2) prestige may be important, but not always. You are not looking for a job after your master. And the potential PhD selection committee members for your PhD application would know the difference between LSE and U Zurich.
3) I understand the importance of 名气, however I cannot agree with that. It does not make much sense arguing about that.

既然LZ长期的目标是PhD这短时间的prestige上的一点差异完全可以忽略，LSE10个月的硕士实在太仓促了，再加上LSE整个学校的氛围极其job-oriented，这点上两年的UZH更适合静下心来做学术。另外LSE的名气也未必就能帮你怎么样了，从LSE毕业出来的硕士中国人一年至少上百，其中不乏鱼龙混杂者。当然他家的PhD那是totally different story了。

LSE应该是就业导向的，时间短。zurich应该比较适合做研究，是读phd很好的跳板。

哎，我以为LSE已经是UK最不JOB-ORIENTED的学校了呢。后面一点可能是的，不知道会不会出现对某个学校认可度很高，但对其硕士项目认可度不高的情况？

请问一下为什么说这个项目做跳板好？只是因为时间和课程设置吗？
