23. On a certain day, nine scheduled flights on Swift Airlines were canceled. Ordinarily, a cancellation is due to mechanical problems with the airplane scheduled for a certain flight. However, since it is unlikely that Swift would have the mechanical problems with more than one or two scheduled flights on a single day, some of the nine cancellations were probably due to something else.

一般来说,取消是因为一架(schedule了一个航班)飞机的机械故障。

然而,因为不可能出现在同一天多于1到2个航班的机械故障,所以9个航班的取消一定是其他原因。

A选项取反：少于1至2架飞机被约9个航班。

参考答案：A 采用取非法。

思路：否定More than one or two airplanes were scheduled for the nine canceled flights.将削弱作者的结论。

由于一架飞机引擎问题，取消了9个班次。但是有人说，有其他因素导致取消9个航班，而非那架飞机引擎原因。A，有好几架飞机都被安排那航班，说明没必要全部取消，其他飞机不是也能跑么，应该是其他原因。取非，只有1架飞机跑这9航班，那怪不得一家飞机引擎出问题，全部9个班次全取消，就这飞机引擎不给力原因。

一天，九架S航空公司的飞机被取消了。通常来说，已经在日程上的航班取消是由于机械问题。然而，S航空似乎在一天内有超过2架飞机因为机械问题不太可能，所以这九架航班被取消有可能由于其他原因

这种需要脑经转个弯的选项 往往被列为难度颇大的题目，讲起话来特别不直接，拐弯抹角的。多多思考就OK了，但是较耗时间。

因为“since it is unlikely that Swift would have the mechanical problems with more than one or two scheduled flights on a single day”, 才推出结论“some of the nine cancellations were probably due to something else.”所以A选项如果取非，则推出结论的前提不存在了。A为正确选项。

但是nine scheduled flights on Swift Airlines were canceled和答案More than one or two airplanes were scheduled for the nine canceled flights不是完全重复了吗，这个样有意义吗。。

果因 果：九个航班被取消 因：不大可能多余1架飞机都出机械问题。应该是其他原因。
选项：多于1架被约的飞机取消。加强因果联系。
