今年面了三所学校,ross, kellogg, darden, 全部是在round2面试的,风格会有所不同,面试都姗姗来迟,其实刚刚结束不久,但今年的申请者估计参考不上了,发出来留给以后的同学做参考资料
Ross R1 WL without interview, R2补了面试,soojin电话面的,并没有如其他申请者一样接到group discussion的邀请面试的一小部分为经典问题,然后针对我的一个做了详细的提问,时间持续为一个小时 1. go through your resume 2. your career goal, why mba? 3. why you apply ross? 4. how to deal with a challenge 5. a story about how you lead a team? 在这里我说了自己一个工作外的经历,run 一个club的,然后后面的都开始针对这一块进行了详细提问 5.1 how you came up with this idea? 5.2 tell me you role in this club? 5.3 how you cooperate with other founders? 5.4 decribe an event you once organized? 5.5 any failure or frustrated situations you met in running this club 6. your contribution to ross when you are admitted 在这里我又讲了这个club experience 会给ross学生带来的benefits, 然后她又追问了细节 7. questions for her, 我提到的是career service在这个tough market的情况下,如何帮助学生找工作,从前两天刚被ding和后面跟校友的聊天来看,这不是一个好问题所以有的时候在敏感的时间里,不要太去问一些有risk的问题
Kellogg
kellogg是一个比较senior的校友面试的,02级的毕业生,非常非常的professional & nice,整个过程中就跟聊天一样,面试完了还给了一些建议,最开心的一场面试,觉得受益良多,所以现在是kellogg的脑残粉。
kellogg这个校友面试的非常random,几乎看到resume上他感兴趣的问题就会问,所以整个过程中也自然的很像conversation
1.walk through your resume
2.why you stay in your current company for such a long time? no job hopping?
3.why mba now? 然后再这里我自然讲了我的career goal,后面开始针对这个提问
4.what you konw about consulting? why you decide an career switch? your competitiveness with other consulting candidates? 其中还在追问,挑战一些细节,看你goal的真实性和可实现性
5.why kellogg?
6.然后针对我简历中他每一个感兴趣的bullet point开始问有关leadership, teamwork的问题
6.1 how you lead a cross-function team of 20 members
6.2 why you want to improve your front sales efficiency? how you make it?
6.3 why you got faster promotion than your peers?
7. some questions about my hobbies
8. any other things not on your resume you want me to know better about you?
Darden
年轻校友面试,时间比较短,大概30分钟左右,很typical的问题,整个过程中也很轻松
